Derek Hough supports Forever Young Foundation’s Sophie’s Place

Sophie’s places are dedicated music therapy facilities built in children’s hospitals.

Back in 2013, Derek was present at the opening of “Sophie’s Place” at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. On June 8, 2015, Derek and Julianne, were also present at the opening of Sophie’s Place at Banner Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. The event ran under the mottos “Be your own hero” and “Music is Therapy” and we couldn’t agree more with both of them. Thumbs up again for the Houghs siblings for getting involved in yet another amazing cause!

Julianne also wrote a blog about their visit to the hospital. This is a part of what she had to say about it:

This week, Derek and I were invited by the Forever Young Foundation to visit the Cardon Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. We got to see what Sophie’s Place is all about first hand. What they’re doing for the children and their loved ones is incredible! To have the opportunity to visit this extraordinary place at the start of our MOVE Tour was a beautiful reminder of our intention. Our mission is to spread joy and love through music and dance. It can help, heal and improve the day or even the lives of people in so many ways.

Below, you can find videos (Salt Lake City Opening) and pictures (Arizona) from the two openings.
