Next week on DWTS – Voting info for this Monday!

Only three days away from the finals of DWTS! Can’t wait to see all four couples on the dance floor and of course our beloved team! And yes, the couples will have to perform 4 dances in total for the two nights! The press release of the last two shows is out so, let’s see what we’ll see in these two nights.

As we all know, in the first round, the couples will redo a dance style they already did during the season. This will be the judges’ pick and one judge will work with each couple to help them and give them instructions. Bindi and Derek are working with Carrie Ann and they have the Quickstep! They have a NEW song for it which means totally new choreography as well. In the second round, it’s the “traditional” Freestyle. Can’t wait to see Team Crikey’s one!

At the end of Monday night, the couple with the lowest combined total of viewers’ votes and judges’ scores from the previous two weeks, will be eliminated.

Tuesday, is going to be a party since all the contestants are coming back to perform as every season. Also, Alexander Jean, Andy Grammer, Chaka Khan, Elle King and Nick Carter will perform their songs.
Also, during the second night, the three finalists will each dance a repeat dance from this season AND a new routine as part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge.”

At the end of the night, the new winners of the show will be announced!

Online voting lasts only 15 hours this Monday! It closes at 11am ET so be sure to cast your votes in time! We are voting for the winner!!! Let’s do this and help Bindi and Derek win!!!

For more information about all the couples and the two nights, be sure to check Just Jared.

What will we see next Monday on Dancing with the Stars

I really can’t believe we are already on the eighth week of the competition! Seems like yesterday when Bindi walked in on Good Morning America as the first contestant of Season 21! Wow!

Now…some details on what we’ll see during the eighth week based on what we were seeing in the previous seasons. First the theme of the night…Dominic from All Access and Sharna on a post show interview said that the theme for next week is “Icons“. Don’t recall seeing this theme before on the show. Also Kym gave more details on “The Morning Show” on what the theme means saying that “…[stars] will have to do a dance to honor someone that inspires them“. We’ll see… 🙂

Bindi and Derek have the FOXTROT to the song ‘Grace Kelly’ by MIKA next week as their main dance but they’ll also have to prepare three more dances due to the immunity/dance off part of the night. The three extra dances will be the Cha Cha, the Jive and the Rumba (?). (Adding note: Derek confirms on his blog that the style of the two dances are Cha Cha and Jive – which they’ve done – and it’s a good thing. Usually the third style was the Rumba in previous seasons. Bindi also has “done” it…but it was not traditional so he might not considering it “done”. We’ll see 🙂 )
Second note: Ikram (thanks!) reminded me that last season they had Salsa for dance offs…checking back really quick all the seasons, they also had Foxtrot once. Combining all the info, most probably Salsa IS going to be the third dance style. Thanks again Ikram!

  • How immunity works: The highest scoring couple of the night wins the immunity, which means they are safe from elimination no matter what and they won’t have to dance again for the night. The remaining six couples will compete on the dance-offs to earn extra points from the judges to help them with the elimination.
  • How dance-offs work: The second highest scoring couple chooses which couple they want to compete against to. The couple who gets picked, chooses the style of the dance. They dance one after another and the judges decide which couple danced better awarding them with extra points. Usually it’s 3 points if I recall it correctly. Then, the next highest couple follows the same process and so on till all six couples dance.

If there is no double elimination, at the end of the night, one of the six couples will be sent home.

Hmm…seems like ABC decided to change the process of how dance offs will be scored this season. From the official press release, viewers will also have a say and we’ll vote on ABC in real time. Here is what they write:

Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough’s song for Week 4 – Most memorable year

Hey everyone! George revealed on twitter the song Team Crikey has for “Most Memorable Year” Week! They are dancing the Contemporary to “Every breath you take” and as George states, Bindi and Derek LOVE the song! Derek posted yesterday on his Instagram that this week was one of the most special of his life! As you can imagine, this makes us even more excited for their dance! Since Bindi’s dad is a very special part of her life, we are guessing that this week will be dedicated to him! Is it Monday yet!?

And on Broadway World we can see all the songs for all the couples. The official press release mentions that at the end of the night, one couple goes home and reminds us that Switch Up voting continues! Are you voting on Twitter and the ABC site for the new couples you want to see together?

Below are the songs…except from Bindi, I am really excited to see Nick dancing to “Everybody”! I wouldn’t be surprised if this week we’ll see some of the Backstreet Boys in the ballroom supporting him…why not all of them!? 😉
